IFP does not collect annual membership fees, and has for a longtime functioned mainly on voluntary basis. In a way, it is amazing how we have managed to do the work so far without any structural funding. Starting 2020, we received a grant that allowed hiring a part-time person to work mainly on the UNECE Global Forum for Road Safety in Geneva. We also gradually became more involved in EU Horizon projects (MORE in 2018 – 2022, UPPER and REALLOCATE 2023 – 2027). Both latter projects will have staff hiring implications. All this strengthens our commitment to support the cause of the pedestrians in an international context.
